A rare tea from the birthplace of black tea. Sourced at an altitude of 1,200 meters in the UNESCO-protected mountain pass of Tongmu Guan (桐木关), this exceptional Jin Jun Mei is crafted entirely from tender spring buds. We traveled directly to this historic origin to harvest this batch alongside the producer, capturing the very essence of where black tea began. The dry leaf reveals its pristine quality: a striking harmony of three parts golden yellow to seven parts deep black, cloaked in fine, silken trichomes that signal flawless picking. When brewed, it pours a clear, golden liquor that is naturally sweet and remarkably smooth, yielding a luxurious mouthfeel completely free from bitterness and astringency often associated with black teas.
